Welcome to Hedgerow and Hearth

My name’s Abbi, and I’m passionate about how what we eat connects us to the world around us. Whether it’s gathering bilberries for a luscious dessert or teaching primary school kids how to eat nettles raw, nature is at the heart of everything I do.

We live in a world where our diets have been stripped of any kind of connection to the seasons or the land that we live on. By learning about the wild food that grows all around us, we can rekindle that connection, and become part of a wider ecosystem of creatures sharing this planet. And I believe that the best way to do that is through delicious, nourishing, exciting ways of eating, that celebrate the amazing world that lives beyond our supermarket shelves.

Sustainable, healthy, delicious—for everyone

Enjoying wild food and exploring the natural world around us shouldn’t just be a hobby for a select group of people. We’re all part of the ecosystem no matter what background we come from, and I believe in making foraging accessible no matter where you live, or what you do for a living. Education is a vital part of what I do and connecting young people with the world around them is crucial for the future of our planet.

With an experienced background in public speaking, performance, and sharing knowledge in a variety of settings, I can offer a range of events, talks and workshops to schools, community groups, organisations and charities.
